Good Tired — Home Again
I returned to Tulsa today. A little worn, a little saddle sore. I left the motorcycle with a friend in Denver and flew home. Riding across Kansas and Oklahoma in 100% humidity did not sound appealing. I caught an early flight this morning.
4,000 miles

8 states

Unlimited God moments
Uncountable memories
Here is the beauty of the day. A few moments before 7 this evening, I received a text from a friend:
“You want a free ticket to Tedeschi Trucks Band tonight?”
Um… yes!!! His friend had an extra. Just looking to see it was used.
Lanie was amazing, a Malach Adonai, a messenger of God. I needed a show. I needed the joy of live music. She brought real joy to the moment. Sometimes we step into people’s lives for a moment, a lesson, or a simple reassurance. Other times, they step into ours.
My biggest lesson of the last three weeks has been to learn to trust people, love strangers, and remember we are all B’tzelmo, in the image of God. We just need to look for the light, look for the spark of the Divine in the other. Just ask Sundee, or Juan, or James, or Richard & Carol, or the countless other characters from the road, or my new friend Lanie.
It is not the number of miles, or the destination. Remember, we are in this for the journey. Thank you all for joining me on this adventure.
In the comments, give me a suggestion on the next adventure. Just let me change the oil and replace the parts that fell off first!
