As many of you know, I was born and raised in Cincinnati. Cincinnati is an interesting place to grow up. People from Cincinnati have a quirky practice which defines them as Cincinnatians. Anywhere in the world, when one Cincinnatian is confronted with another, the first question is always, “Where did you go to high school?” …..

Duluth High School Baccalaureate

Allow me to tell you a little bit of my story. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1991, I graduated from High School—a Marianist all boys, Catholic School. Yes, I am Jewish, and have always been Jewish; I am a rabbi. I was not always a rabbi, however.

Some services I have led:

Temple Israel & The Last Service;
Anniversary Shabbat Blessing

Eulogy of Steve Bovasso

Stephen Bovasso… Steve. The last opportunity I had to spend real time with Steve was during dinner, last New Year’s Eve. Less than fifteen weeks ago. Upon making eye contact, as anyone would, I asked: How are you? A very real question, to a man whose life’s vibrancy was fading. I expected a very real answer, to which he responded with a huge grin: I’m fine.
